Poster of the modernist icon - Villa Savoye in Poissy, designed by Le Corbusier and completed in 1931. Le Corbusier's building is the epitome of modernist architecture. The house as a "machine for living" encapsulates all the elements of his manifesto of modern construction: ribbon windows, pilotis (supports), flat roof, and an open floor plan. In 2016, the house was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
